Gilani Mobility is Dubai’s trusted specialist in mobility equipment, wheelchair accessible vehicles, and home accessibility solutions – proudly serving People of Determination, seniors, and caregivers across all 7 UAE emirates and the wider GCC since 2022. Part of the Gilani Engineering group, founded in Australia in 2011, we bring over 14 years of combined engineering expertise to every solution we deliver. With more than 10,000 customers served and 4,000+ vehicle modifications completed, we are one of the region’s most experienced and trusted mobility partners.

What we do?

Gilani Mobility offers one of the most comprehensive ranges of mobility and accessibility solutions in the UAE and GCC.

Our electric wheelchairs and manual wheelchairs range from lightweight foldable models to heavy-duty bariatric options, with custom-built solutions available for complex needs. We also supply mobility scooters, hospital and medical beds from Malsch of Germany, stairlifts, platform lifts exclusively from LiftUP Denmark, wheelchair ramps, grab rails, bathroom and shower aids, walking aids and rollators, and tactile studs for public accessibility compliance.

Our vehicle modification team specialises in the patented G24 NoRamp® wheelchair accessible vehicle conversion – exclusive to the UAE – alongside hand controls, Turny swivel seats, wheelchair ramp conversions, lowered floor systems, boot hoists, and full conversions of the Hyundai Staria and Kia Carnival.

For those needing flexibility, we offer rentals covering wheelchairs, mobility scooters, WAVs, hospital beds, disability driving vehicles with hand controls, and a chauffeur WAV service across Dubai and the UAE.

Our after-sales team provides mobility equipment repair, a home callout service, home accessibility assessments, and professional installation of stairlifts and platform lifts across the UAE and GCC.

Our Story​

Gilani Mobility’s origins trace back to a single customer who said no to ramps and no to large vehicles. Working from a 200m² workshop in Australia with just 2 welding machines, 2 vehicle hoists, and one employee, founder Ray Gilani spent 6 months and $200,000 developing a solution that had never existed before – an internal elevator system for a standard people mover. The result was the G24 NoRamp® wheelchair accessible vehicle conversion, now patented and exclusive to the UAE.

That Australian operation became Gilani Engineering, established in Sydney in 2011, and remains the group’s engineering and R&D base today.

In 2022, Gilani Mobility was established in Dubai to bring these world-class solutions to the Gulf region – serving the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, and Oman. In 2023, we proudly participated in Expo Dubai, showcasing the G24 NoRamp® technology on a global stage and contributing to the international conversation on accessibility and inclusion.

Our Founder

Gilani Mobility was founded by Ray Gilani (Ramin Gilani), a mechanical and automotive engineer whose entire career has been dedicated to improving mobility and independence for people with disabilities.

Ray holds a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Monash University, Melbourne (2012) and a Bachelor’s degree in Automotive Systems Engineering from LuleÃ¥ University of Technology, Sweden (2010). Before completing his studies, he was already testing vehicle safety components for Gestamp Hardtech – a supplier to BMW, Mercedes-Benz, and Porsche. He went on to design, build, and manage the production of wheelchair accessible vehicles in Australia, eventually rising to General Manager and leading R&D across the full disability products range.

Ray is a Registered Professional Engineer in NSW, an RMS Approved Certifier under the NSW Transport Vehicle Modification Scheme, a member of SAE Australasia, and a registered NDIS provider across ten disability aid categories – from personal mobility and vehicle modification to home modifications and assistive technology.

His qualifications, hands-on factory experience, and deep understanding of both engineering and lived disability needs are what set Gilani Mobility apart from general equipment suppliers.
